It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

I spent some time in my yard taking photos this afternoon. I took lots of photos of trees and flowers but dandelions have a special place in my heart. They bring back memories of grubby little hands bringing me a bouquet of 'flowers' early in the spring. And I just think they're pretty. :-)
These last two photos were taken with the camera on the ground under the dandelions. They're very pop art looking. I like the blurred focus and the incredible blue of the sky.

  1. Did you see all the dandelions I have in my garden on my last blog post.

It will take me forever to get rid of them lol.

I still think they are pretty.

In England they say if you pick dandelions you'll wet the bed :-)

  3. Jayne, fortunately we live on a couple of acres out in the country and no one cares if we have dandelions - well, except maybe for hubby, lol. Most of our front lawn used to be pasture. I like the 'natural look.'

April, my baby just turned 17 so I won't be seeing anymore dandelion bouquets until I have grandchildren. Enjoy yours while your children are young! Fluffy bursts of sunshine...I like that!

  6. I love dandelions and it brings back a lot of memories for me too. My mother always had a bouquet of dandelions in the middle of the kitchen table that I picked (my hands were always stained from the juice) and I always had a bouquet on my table that my children picked. The brilliant yellow in the bright green grass was a wonderful contrast in spring and it was wonderful to blow the fluff into the air to see how far it would fly.
