Making mini carnation arrangements is fun. :) This time I used 2 pink and 3 white flowers with 3 stems of leaves. I used an Asian inspired bead as a vase.
They look pretty sitting in the living room of Johnson's Boarding House.
Here's a closer pic -the tacky wax is making the vase sit a bit crooked. I've got to remember to adjust that. ;)
A lot of times you need special punches to make mini flowers. I love that these can be made with just a plain old office hole punch and a 1/8 inch punch for the calyx. I almost always have plain floral wire on hand. I didn't have to purchase anything new and I got some pretty arrangements in the process. It doesn't get much better than that.

these are beautiful, you have inspied me to dig out my punches and make some flowers myself.
thanks for sharing
Very nice arrangement and the bead you used is perfect for a small vase.
I'm going to have to try and make me some carnations. :-)
I really love how paper flowers and plants look in scale. They just have so much more detail and seem more dainty. These turned out lovely with the simple round punch. Am I the only one who can't seem to find all those neat punches locally?
Thank you all!
I have a difficult time finding punches that will work and still be within my budget, April. I'm always excited when I figure out how to make plants with the punches I have on hand. Circles, hearts and stars in various sizes can be used to make many different types of flowers and are fairly easy to find.
So pretty De and just perfect for the spot you have it displayed! I have a hard time finding punches locally too- it's one of the things I look for at craft stores if we go to a larger town.
