Finally a mini project!

I did a bit of work on the New York loft apartment. I tore the carpet out and glued it directly to the floor rather than to cardboard. It looks so much better now! I also made and filled the black corner shelf. That space just seemed bare.

The shelf was made with a thin sheet 3 inch wide wood. I scored it down the center and folded it into the corner shape. The shelves are woodsie triangles. I used skinny sticks for the shelf supports and for the trim at the base of each shelf. Quick, easy and it looks good, too. :)

It looks like a real New York apartment with the view from the window. And the corner shelves are a bright idea. I like the dog.

Your shelf looks great! Thanks for the tip about scoring the wood to make a corner. I'll be needing a corner cabinet in my kitchen. :D

Thank you!

Drora, the dog is a mini copy of Henry who was the mascot at American Miniaturist magazine. He won second place in a contest they had. :-)

Kathi, I think the scoring would only work on the really thin wood. Hubby got me a mixed pack of plywood in my stocking and I used the thinnest one there was. I don't know exactly what it was, though.
