"Carved" Panels
One of my miniature books suggested using corrugated cardboard to simulate the ornate carved panels found in Tudor manors. I used skinny sticks to frame the panels and it looks really nice. Poke the picture to see the details. Someday I'm going to get inspired before rather than after getting a room almost finished. It was a bit more challenging to add the skinny sticks and stain everything. ;-)

The panels look good. The floor is great. What material did you use for the floor?
Hugs, Drora
Thank you, Drora. The floor pieces were cut from a stone-look peel and stick vinyl floor tile leftover from a real life project. I cut out the design I wanted, stuck the "stones" to the castle floor, and used a mix of spackle (used for filling holes in walls) and acrylic craft paint to grout the gaps between the stones. My tiles have a two toned pattern so I could make a two color design. This is an easy, inexpensive way to get a really nice looking stone floor. The tiles are available in marble finish too.
