This is the entertainment center in progress. It's made from strip wood, paper, shingles, and crown molding.
And here it is finished with TV and DVR. I'll add some accessories to the shelves at some point but the "essentials" are there. The picture frame and wall mounted shelf to the left of the door were made with scrapbook stickers.
The desk is set up for paying bills - laptop, checks, bills, etc. The silver frame is part of another scrapbook sticker. The left wall holds a college diploma framed in black.
I have a dresser in progress for the bedroom now. I started with a tiny box and added strip wood drawers.
The little house is starting to like more like a home now. All of the little details just add so much personality and warmth. I think that's why this is my favorite part. Anyone can build a dollhouse kit but we all show our different points of view in the finishing details.

WOw that entertainment centre is amazing!
Yes 1 has to have a TV very important! lol
I agree with Deni- the entertainment center looks great and is inspiring me to get back to work on Bernard's house- watching you do this house has given me some great ideas and actually I am not so intimidated by Bernard's house anymore. I hope that transfers to my hands and actually making the things!
Thanks, Kim. I'm glad that you've found some inspiration in my experiments. I really wasn't sure if I'd be able to work in half scale but I am really enjoying it. :-)
The entertainment center does look great.
I still can't believe this is half scale!
Thank you, Dale! My long tweezers are getting more of a work out with this house than any other I've done before. The tiny accessories are impossible to hold on to otherwise. Believe me, it is definitely half scale, lol.
